The Tuesday afternoon knitters are a long-standing group of friends who are reasonably advanced knitters (and somewhat potty-mouthed). But don’t let our mad yarn skillz and inside jokes stop you from pulling up a chair and pulling out your sticks. If you have an upbeat demeanor, an open mind, don’t mind talking about vagina’s (or mind dropping the occasional f-bomb), and like beer as much as yarn, chances are you’ll fit fight in. Tuesday Afternoon Knitters meet every Tuesday, 4-6pm, at Wild Iris Books.

It's a new year and the Feminist Open Mic is back and ready to go. Our aim is to create a safe space where individuals can celebrate, challenge and express their artistic personas! Hosted by Gainesville’s own wonderful poet and queer activist Johnny Rocket. We encourage all poets, musicians, and other artists types to attend. Cafe Colette will be open with food and beverages!
