Since 1992, Wild Iris Books has been loudly and proudly proclaiming its support of the feminist community.  As the last of our kind in Florida - we have firmly stood our feminist ground - celebrating women's writing and studies, advocating for LGB needs, and raising awareness for our transgender friends.  Because our eyes and hearts are open to all types of personal choices, you'll also find we have a strong new age and metaphysical flare to our selection.

In our quest to promote feminism and equality, we've created a sister non-profit to highlight the diverse voices that make up our song.  Friends of Wild Iris is dedicated to creating a safe space for authors, artists, musicians, workshops and more.  We're always looking for volunteers and contributors, so if you're the Gainesville area, we'd love to hear from you!
